Positive User: I can only comment on the drinks and atmosphere since I didn’t order any food.
I stopped in early evening to pass some time since I was a bit early for an appointment nearby. They had good happy hour prices (for what I’ve seen in Bangkok so far) for wine and Asahi, which were the drinks I was considering before heading in.
The vibe and design of the place is relaxing–chill music, low lights, earth tones. The staff are nice.
I think it’s a nice spot to relax for a bit with a drink. So much so, that I went back for another drink after my appointment~
Positive User: Nice establishment, affordable wine prices, real wine glasses. The cheese is also ok. We had a great time, and were able to share the owner’s knowledge of his wines on offer. I recommend this establishment…especially if you are tired of the beers, cocktails offered in all the hotels. THANKS
Positive User: Great Happy Hour drinks and daily food specials make the Wine Depot a terrific place to add to your list for a casual meal.
We enjoyed the Monday night half-price tapas with some happy hour wine & cocktails.
Service is friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back again to enjoy another meal.

Positive User: Great pasta. Excellent tapas. Great wine. I visited and was suitably impressed with the menu and food quality. If one was to compare with the famous Wine Connection…. Wine Depot wins!!!

Neutral User: We went to Wein Depot because my partner likes to drink wine.
This obviously tasted good.
As a self-confessed beer drinker, I was pleased that wheat beer was on offer.
However, if you offer wheat beer in 0.5 l bottles, you should also have the appropriate glasses and not just 0.3 l glasses.
Overall, however, it was a pleasant stay.
However, we rejected a new visit for food due to various reviews.

The French owner personally gave me some recommendations about a wine I wanted to choose with my food.
I have never seen such a choice of wine that can be ordered by the glass. (Wine lovers: go!)
I had 3 different meals. Let’s say it was “Thai-fusion-food”. I enjoyed it. Not to spicy. Very well cooked. Bravo.
I can’t afford to eat for that amount of money often- but as a food and vine lover I will come again.

I ordered 2 different dishes and tried a few wines before I decided for the cheapest one – because I liked it most:
Wine:
Cabernet-Merlot (Chile – see picture)
Dish 1:
Fried / breaded Squids in a basket. Good and fresh taste. Probably fried in Palm-oil.
The sauce though was not really a pleasure. A little fatty but not much more taste than Mayonnaise with some garlic. That could improve (much).
Dish 2:
“Nya Yang” Australian Wagyy, cut into stripes, served with a spicy thai “sauce”.
Ok..The meat had a good quality, but was served on a cold plate – so it was almost cold as well…- I could have lived with that.
The waitress told me that “the sauce” would be something alike a thai sauce called “Naam Jim Djaeo”; something that can taste very good.
To my disappointment it was only a mix of chili paste and oil. I couldn’t eat it. Just spicy, not any taste of herbs and other spices which would be in the fore mentioned sauce.
Sorry I have to take away a star.
You can do better – for these prices one can expect more.

Negative User: Didn’t even wait to order, service was non existent, we walked in no greetings, went outside set at table, grumpy lady droooed the menu and left, so we left too….hahaha

Negative User: The place is very average, or ever less. Completely difficult to communicate with waiters and the reason is very low level of English. Only few draft beers and not really good quality. May be situation with wine is better, but i didn’t try. Food is not tasty and i think, that is ridiculous parody to European style. Suppose, that much better to serve well known excellent Thai food. Only one benefit is location…That is it. Around you may found a lot of good and much cheap restaurants with best food. Definitely not recommend to visit.
