Positive User: Good quality food, fresh raw fish, sweet uni good service staff Come to eat here, must order tofu to try. Don’t miss it.
You can park your car under the building. The parking card stamp costs 20 ฿.
Positive User: Best tofu in Bangkok. Just realized how tasty the tofu can be. Experience Japanese ryokan meal. Food are well prepared and served. Staff is friendly and attentive. Price is quite high but the food quality is superb.
Positive User: Ume no Hana has been the place that I celebrated my mom’s birthday for many years now. The service is top notched and the food is amazing. There was a time when I asked the restaurant to prepare little surprise for my mom and they get a little ice cream in a wafer and candles. It is a simple kind gesture but my mom was so moved.
Now let’s talk about food. I highly recommend coming in the evening since the food experience will be more extensive/ less rush. The server will explain to you what we are eating. The food quality is amazing. And tofu! Tofu dishes are eye opening to me how you can create versatile experiences with simply soybeans (and some more ingredients). While you are not able to go to Japan, you can get Kaiseki experience here and I would say I will keep continuing coming to this place.
Four Stars
Positive User: A bit pricey, quality is good. Love their tofu
Positive User: Restaurant is located in Nihonmura Mall. The atmosphere is very good, feel like being in Japan. The service is perfect and omotenachi. All tofu dishes are qualified and delicious. Though the price is so expensive.
Positive User: Location is easy to find at 3rd level. Lift accessible. Some steps in restaurant so not wheelchair friendly.
Service is good and they assign someone that speak english to serve us.
Food is of a good quality. The tofu is a must try (i dont like tofu but find them very good).
Price is on the expensive end. Eg kaiseki dinner average is 3k. They do have more affordable range like lunch set at 1k to 2k.

Neutral User: I like the quality of the food. They are well known for tofu, and would highly recommend kaiseki course.
My main caveat is the service. For a kaiseki restaurant, it makes no sense that the kitchen closes 1 hour before closing time. The course is rushed, and become cold.
Unless you come early and do allocate at least 2.5 hours if not 3 hours before closing time, don’t bother with a kaiseki course because the experience is subpar.
Another thing of note is the poor customer service. We were rushed to leave starting from 15 minutes before closing time with the staff saying that the restaurant is closed. It wasn’t and by 5 minutes to closing, they harassed us 3 times. This is not a supermarket, and customers should be treated in a much more civil manner
Neutral User: Disappointed with the sushi, rice breaks apart, sukiyaki meat was tough, tempura prawn was not fresh! Not worth the dollar we paid at 4000B per person.
Neutral User: Everything is good, just the price is too expensive for me. Tofu dish would go up to 2K. It’s depend on your affordability.

Negative User: The Tofu is absolutely good but the most concern is cleanliness. There is many small cockroaches on the table and the staff told us it is usual right now because they are renovating.
The cleanliness should be the first priority to be improved.
Negative User: Been a customer of this place for few years, but I just experienced a drop of quality and service… really disappointed and considered unworthy for the price
Negative User: Food is nice service is ok but the place is quite dirty. We got hair in the tofu hotpot, and met 2 cockroaches on the table T_T with no apologies or complementaries from the restaurant.
One Star
Negative User: Only tofu menu are good but the prices were way too high. Don’t order anything else they were way under standard and changed you more than the quantity you can find at other restaurants.
Negative User: I was very impressed with the food particularly the tofu set when I first dined at this nice Japanese place. Took a friend back for the second time and the hostess at the front desk was extremely rude and patronising. It could be due to the fact that we came in our workout clothes. We booked online via Hungryhub not knowing that signs us up for a buffet, and we asked if we could instead opt for an ala carte menu. She rudely told us that it will incur a cost on their end, told me to call Hungryhub to cancel (I did but it was too late) and they insist that they will not serve us an ala carte even if its available. We obviously left for the next kaiseki on another soi and will not return, EVER!
Negative User: This is a complaint letter. We had a bad experience in this restaurant just now t.t. We made a reservation at 8 pm because we knew that the last order was 9 pm (restaurant close 10 pm) because we wanted to hav fresh toku skin, but when we arrived at the restaurant on time at 8 pm., we were told that there was a big cleaning and they had to close at 9:30 pm. So we order what we would like to hav and during that time, one of the waitresses inside alway make unwilling service. When it’s 9:30 pm, this waitress says, “Let me clear the table” Even though the food is still in my mouth, it’s the last bite that we’re about to walk out of the restaurant.
– why the reception didnt give the information that the restaurant close earlier?? when we made a reservation?
– during people having meal, why this waitress always made an unpleasant service??, we just want to enjoy the meal 🙁 so bad
– we would like to know the solution. Just about this waitress, if today we had not met her we would give this review as 5 stars, this restaurant would be a lot better with good employee 🙂
