  • Positive User: Try the Oysters. Thank me later.

  • Positive User: We are traveling with a low budget of 10-15 € a day so this was a bit expensive, but worth every penny. For 3-6€ you get a very good Japanese dish with a miso soup and in my case with 2 salmon maki. It,s as good as an very expensive Japanese style restaurant ans has a modern look and the portions are good considering a extra soup or maki costs around 50cent. Would definitely recommend!

  • Positive User: Apparently this has been open for around 10 years and I am now officially sad that I wasted at least 4 lunches worth of appetite eating at that other Japanese place nearby instead! The restaurant is well designed and a welcome oasis of calm from the hot AF and bustle of Khaosan. The food is tasty and prices range from reasonable for lunchtime staples to well…still reasonable for things like beef rice bowls etc. The food comes out fast and the service is prompt. Was very impressed and will definitely come again to eat our way through the menu!

  • Positive User: The food taste is still the standard of Ar Sub restaurant.

  • Positive User: Nice local Japanese food. My favorite dish is oysters wrapped with bacon in teppanyaki style.

  • Positive User: Amazing place but was empty when we got there. Is located a bit away from the main street so it may be hard for people to see it if they don’t know it’s there. Huge recommendation for this place. Real Japanese style, very affordable prices. Staff is nice and it’s probably a family owned place.

  • Neutral User: Smart choice for japanese foods around there. Delicious menus with reasonable price. Credit card is not acceptable.

  • Neutral User: Food is good. We had a communication issue when I asked server to make sure there was no shrimp in my roll as I am mildly allergic. Halfway through eating I noticed there was shrimp and when I brought this up to her she made me feel like a criminal sitting there while she accusingly recounted my story to her boss on the phone. They did not charge me for the rolls but I could not enjoy the rest of the meal because of this interaction. Before this the salmon salad was delicious.

  • Neutral User: Came many times, the quality has decreased continuously. The recommended dish is Okonomiyaki, sushi used to be delicious.

  • Negative User: Visited 2 weeks ago I wanted to eat raw fish while traveling, so I visited this place because it was near my hotel. But the food was very disgusting. There was a set of raw fish.. I don’t know if this is raw fish or something.. The name of the store is Kansai, but the owner doesn’t seem to have ever been to Japan. The meat came out delicious and the raw fish had been frozen for a while and was full of water… haha. Udon is also water soup or something.. If you have ever tried Japanese food, Not recommended. Besides, I don’t want any kindness. When I was paying the bill, he was very glaring at me. This store ruined my trip.

  • Negative User: The shop’s response to questions is very bad.

  • Negative User: After closing because of Covid for a long time Coming back to open this time was very bad. There was no preparation. Taste changes That is, the wait was very long even though there were few customers. Okonomiyaki took forty minutes. The next table that came before asked for salad. They said they were making it, but actually they hadn’t started making it yet. They didn’t know why they were lying. The whole restaurant has only one chef. With another person taking orders, if they’re not ready, it’s better to close first. Most importantly, the taste has changed. This time we were very disappointed.
