Positive User: Food: Great authentic North Indian dishes. The masala chai was perfection. All the dishes we tried were tasty.
Service: Miss Rani and all the people working there make you feel like you’re home. It was pouring outside and we were literally soaking. Miss Rani immediately increased the temperature for us to feel warm, allowed us to change to our favourite music on the tv, treated us with love and respect and served us delicious food with her interesting stories. What an amazing experience. We left the place with a happy heart and a full tummy.
This shop definitely is worth the hype.
Positive User: The hosts were awesome, guiding us appropriately since we were looking for veg food. The food was as it should have been, awesome Indian. So if you are around this area (victory monument ) you should definitely go there !
Positive User: Came just before closing time;
It was very delicious, and the decoration of the shop was also very delicious. Three people ate a lot, and the portions were very large. If you want to eat Indian food, this is the right place to choose!
Four Stars
Positive User: Authentic Indian Restaurant from Manipur!
The taste is quite good and you can easily enjoy with it. The owner is so friendly and talkative. The price is more expensive than other restaurant with the same quality.
Positive User: The food here is fantastic and every time I have visited, it has never disappointed me or my friends/ colleagues. The dishes are generous, tasty and fair priced. The hospitality of the main staff (family owners) is warm and welcoming. It’s up to 10 min walk from Victory Monument BTS.
The only things I would suggest is to help the other staff in improving their language skills because they seem confused at times when understanding clients. The décor and music should be Indian orientated as it’s an Indian restaurant (many people have noticed this). Nobody wants to really hear pop music.
I will always come back to this place and I hope they continue to grow and get a larger space but with suggestions taken onboard from patrons.

Three Stars
Neutral User: I was influenced by the very good ratings given for this restaurant. Unfortunately, I must admit that for any lover of good Indian cuisine, it is not deserved. If the staff, incidentally very unprofessional, is attentive, it’s not really an Indian restaurant! No perfume emerges on entering the small room where almost nothing, in any case neither the music nor the decor, lets you imagine that you are going to enjoy yourself. Although the portions are generous, nothing I ate convinced me. I give 3 to this restaurant because the friendliness of the employees enhances the poor rating of the kitchen.
Neutral User: We had dinner at ‘thestaycafe’ after reading the generally good reviews. The family and staff are very friendly and efficient. The cafe decor is modern, the interior is nice and clean, the airconditioning ensures a comfortable dining experience and while the music was ok (we like Rod Stewart) it is played on a TV screen. Dining in front of the TV might be something you do in your own home. Akin to using your mobile phone while dining with others. As far as the food goes it was ok. We chose; butter chicken, chicken korma, jeera rice, butter naan and an apple soda and a mango lassi. Firstly, the prices that appear on the website are outdated, the portions are quite small compared with three other Indian restaurants we have eaten at in SEA recently. The korma was a nice flavour while the butter chicken was ok but not up to other’s we have eaten recently. The apple soda was a fresh apple flavour, but the mango lassi was too salty for me. As with the curries the drinks were not of a generous size compared with the other Indian restaurants. Perhaps ‘in defence of my review’, they did interrupt our dining on no less than three occasions to ask if we needed to order more curries. The curries deserve a ‘pass’ but we did order an extra rice just to fill up on.
Neutral User: I have mixed feelings about the place.
It’s not bad. Was it anything special about Indian food? Not really. I’ve had much better lamb before, but I’ve also had worse.
Is it overpriced? Yes!
Do they trick you into paying some ridiculous 10% commission plus service fee? No doubt!
Is the owner kind and their service smiles to you? For sure.
But I won’t go there anymore as from a family run café I’d expect fairness and a somewhat more reasonable price politics.

Negative User: Friendly staff but the food was not good, tasteless even unfortunately. I also found it more expensive than competitors on the same street that serve much better food with equally good service.
One Star
Negative User: I followed the advice from here and I regretted it. I think people who give 5 stars don’t know anything about Indian food….avoid
Negative User: not impressed
Negative User: Ordered a Indian chicken burger.. but it was rather a slider in size smaller than the size of tomato ketchup sachet, no fries was given on side
Tandoor chicken biryani raita was spoilt curd
Please eat at your own risk highly dangerous Indian restaurant to eat or order from and they won’t even acknowledge the problem
