Positive User: We came back to Cafe Claire for my wife birthday night meal. We held our wedding here at the hotel. This was a great moment to recall our memorable time. Thank to the restaurant manager and staff, Khun Kiran, Khun Beer and another staff who we couldn’t remember her name. Sorry about that We had been very well recommended with special menus as well as complementary drinks. Thank you for making our night special. Although we heard the the restaurant got a in Chief, food and sweet still taste amazing!! We will surely be back for our special occasions in the future.

Positive User: Food was really good. The only thing I didn’t care for were the pastas. I believe that’s not this restaurants strong suit. Except the Gnocchi, that one was really good. However everything from the soup, salad, fish and meat were excellent.

Positive User: This place is a mix of restaurant, café and bar. Located in Oriental Residence hotel. Clean and beautiful decoration. The service was very good. Staffs were nice. The foods were looking good but the taste isn’t my way. The tea was TWG brand, that’s OK. Coffee was average.
Positive User: I honestly wonder.. If we were foreigners, would they have treated us a lil differently when we pointed out what went wrong with the dishes.?! (aside from telling us that they would inform the chef?)
Well… I’d honestly give 3.5 out of 5 for food though. (even we had it as a buffet, all dishes should still be taken care of in details with care)
Review of the French food buffet at Café Claire, Witthayu area.
Since the restaurant normally doesn’t have a buffet, you have to make a reservation through Hungry Hub. 1699 baht per person. You have 2 hours to eat. You can order only one drink. We ordered a Virgin Mojito and one fruit punch and one special dish. There can be as many dishes on the menu as you want. Food takes some time to prepare. If people eat well and quickly, we recommend ordering a little in advance.
What was most surprising was the Wagyu burger❤ Most impressively done 😅 The meat was cooked just right. It’s delicious when cooked. I want to order another one but I’m worried about the belly that’s about to pop out of the skirt😑
In conclusion, the overall taste of the food is good.
One lamb rack dish was great and another was overcooked. So it’s hard and sticky.
The Barramundy fish dish was not cooked. The fish on top was still tough.😥 It was a shame to eat the cooked side. As for the eggplant mussaka that was served on a plate, The eggplant meat is very hard and dry.😣 It’s a bit difficult to eat. This point should be improved. (Inform the staff He said he would inform the chef. But I didn’t ask if I would accept a new one or not….hehe)
Personally, the saffron risotto tastes good and is served ready. The scallops are big and naturally sweet, but the rice is still a little mushy.
Finally, one item missing is braised beef cheek. Seriously, it’s a disappointment. It’s a dish I want to try. It turned out to be a beef dish with nothing but burgers.
Ordered two desserts. and fresh fruit We voted that the Salted caramel chocolate tart tasted okay, not too sweet like the Yuzu crème brûlèe.
Excellent service. Smiling but not making eye contact a little.

We ordered a steak which came in as a plumb juicy piece. Taste should have been good if it was not too rare to our taste. So we asked for it to get more cooked.
Spaghetti chilli corn was something left to be desired as the pasta and it’s taste were a bit too soft.
Neutral User: Post-COVID reopening with new menus, new staffs, new chef, so went to try. They have (reservations) buffet menus, set menus with premium dishes (assorted cheese – sorry it didn’t make it to the camera / Beef which is supposed to be rib eye – got serloin instead / foie gras – not a good quality that day so chef decided not to serve, thank you / snow fish, and other menus.
We picked 1,299.- set which is 1 premium, 3 regular dishes with free flow mocktails.
Beef- nothing to complain at all. I don’t care if this is a substitute.
Snow fish – the fish and whitish creamy sauce with bright green oil drops compliment each other well.
Cheese – well ok
Tuna tartar – bright and fresh, should try
Beef tartar – yes please, careful that some flower or green leaves are bitter?
Fish… cannot remember… a bit strong on fish odour. Not that it’s bad or something.
Smoked salmon – tasty, just the tuile (or crispy sliced bread? Not sure) was served in decorating green beans pot with red flour beetles มอด in it. Many of them were still walking around so we return it. See pink arrows in the pic, some of them are in camera focus.
Caramel pudding is great for finishing.
Staffs know menus throughout. Beautiful and elegant atmosphere. Parking in front or in basement. All are convenient. So, besides from fish plate, beetles and lack of some menus, it’s such a memorable experience!

Negative User: Despite being only 30% full the ala carte breakfast items took half hour to be served.
Items came were lukewarm at best.

Negative User: Brunch experience: understaffed, not vegan-friendly.
Unfortunately, as a vegan person there’s literally not a single dish on the menu I could eat (and they couldn’t make a vegan variation). The buffet food is also lacking clear dietary labels.
The waiters are very pleasant, however the service is very slow, likely due to not having enough staff.

Negative User: Have been to the food many times. Suddenly, the Oriental group came to force the coupon for the house. and pushing to buy to give away to others
I picked up three leaves When I use it for the first time, it’s okay. Next time, the salmon that I ordered has a weird taste. Came home, food poisoning, couldn’t move for almost a week. Heard it was formaldehyde??? There is no medical examination.
during booking Employees put up their middle finger. I couldn’t believe it actually happened.
Negative User: I’m sorry to say this but truly the worst French food I’ve ever had my life. I wish I hadn’t come here.
Negative User: The chef told me this was WAGYU beef. I eat beef three meals a day. With this colour and flavour, this cow has probably been floating in the river for days. The complimentary bread was good so I gave it a star instead of zero. Don’t order burger 🐮
