Positive User: Thai fine-dining experience in a charming setting. This restaurant is located inside Praya Palazzo Boutique Hotel. Getting there may be a bit challenging as the hotel is not accessible by cars. Instead, the hotel offers a free boat ride from any nearby pier along Chao Praya river, which actually adds to the overall pleasant dining experience.
Positive User: The food was nice and the place is beautiful.
You should get there by a small boat
Positive User: I made a reservation in advance and requested pickup from my hotel.
They picked us up directly at the hotel’s private pier across the street.
The price was a bit high, but the quantity was quite large.
During the meal, the manager came to the table about 20 times, explained various things, took care of everything, and I had a very satisfying evening.
I recommend two people go together.
When organizing a group of 4 or more people, cost-effectiveness considerations must be taken into consideration.

Neutral User: Restaurant in a Boutique hotel. You will need to take a boat to get there. We made the mistake of driving there, there is no road and we had to pass through houses built on dirty water and flimsy floating bridges.
The environment is ok but lots of mosquitoes. Food portion is big but not tasty. Service is friendly
Neutral User: The atmosphere is good. Delicious royal Thai food But I’m not that wow. The first star deducted is that I didn’t book because I was a guest staying at the hotel. When I arrived there were no employees at all. Waited a long time until an employee came. Minus another star is that water is served without asking and charging for water as well. It would be better if we told each other first.

Negative User: Disappointed to say the least. This was my third night at a Michelin star Resturant in Bangkok and it was by far the worst. To start the website advertises the Resturant “guides guests through the history of Thai cuisine, from the ancient Kingdom of Sukhothai until now”. When we arrived we learned it was an a la cart menu and had to order by the item. The prices are good (280-380 bht), but the portions are so large that you can’t sample a dish from every time period. This Resturant would do much better as a tasting menu serving small dishes from every time period. The waiter spoke decent English which was also surprising because they were unable or unwilling to give any guidance or explanation about the dishes we were eating and that was the main draw of the Resturant. To make matters worse, getting to the Resturant was no easy task. We were told to meet at a pier to get a boat to the hotel but when we arrived the pier was closed which the hotel seemed surprised by this. They made us wait 15 minutes until someone came to get us and then they walked us through what I can only describe as a Thai ghetto that is located next to the hotel. We were walking through peoples open aired living rooms as they shuffled us to the Resturant. It was a very strange customer service experience for a 5 star hotels/Resturants management to choose for us. It just added to the disappointment of the whole experience. Undeniably the food was good and one can see that they have a star from elevating traditional Thai dishes. But it’s also possible there standards have slipped and they are no longer as good as they once we’re. I don’t think I would return to Praya on my next trip.
Negative User: Good receptionist / good boat staff >> other than that, food taste – clarification before arriving – parking – food price – food texture – wet rice – and expensive
One Star
Negative User: Not only was this place a nightmare to get to, but the service was awful. The food was good but the terrible service made the experience miserable. We did the tasting menu and not only were the courses brought out of order, they didn’t keep track of what they already gave us so some courses were missed entirely. And despite the fact that their staff seemed to speak English just fine, they didn’t tell us what we were being served. After finishing the main dishes we waited more than 30 mins for our dessert but finally gave up and asked for the check. They didn’t even offer to give us our dessert to go. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
