Positive User: Nice Italian restaurant in a Japanese style restaurant with a wood oven for Napolitan pizza (very good)
Positive User: A hidden Gem in Thonglo. Super fresh meat and the duck salad was amazing. The creamy crab pasta was also very good. The staffs are very helpful, accomodating and attentive. Will definitely come back again.
Positive User: Nice asmosphere
Four Stars
Positive User: 6⭐ for the pizza contemporanea (with canotto style cornicione).
The tomato on top is simply amazing… for sure made following the protocol (hand crushed, not cooked, added just with basil, salt and EVO).
unfortunately, is quite hidden and buried down is Soi, not so easy to reach. BTW, there is parking for at least 19 cars.
worth the shot, even if definitely overpriced.
Positive User: An interesting Italian /Japanese restaurant in Thonglor. It the Sister restaurant to the Italian Bar in Phrom Phong. Good atmosphere and service. Food was pretty good but some weakness; the quality of the meat was as not great and the Tomato sauce on the pizza was far to watery. But we still enjoyed the meal.
Positive User: Cool place, good food, fun Sommelier

The Bar Italian Thonglor Neutral User Reviews
Three Stars
Neutral User: Well overpriced and very unusual settings for a Italian
Neutral User: Closed during the coronavirus ➡︎ I changed places to another Italian restaurant EATARY, but now I’m back to my original bar.
The taste seemed to be the same as before, which was great, but the menu has changed a little and the operation staff has probably been completely replaced.
Although there are some Japanese staff working full-time, the store is still not running well, but I have high hopes for it.
The menu is likely to change as well.
I have high hopes, but I think it’s about 3★ at the moment. If it’s just the taste, it’s a 4★.
I would like to come back and check it out.
Neutral User: good

The Bar Italian Thonglor Negative User Reviews
Two Stars
Negative User: Very tough and patient
Negative User: Let’s start with good things. Food is tasty, pizza and pasta also. Which is expected for this price range.
My recent experience is not so satisfactory though.
Issue#1: I ordered a glass of red wine which was served in room temperature. (They had to open a new bottle, I assumed they forgot to put to the wine fridge.) When I mentioned this issue the reply was that it is normal for this wine. (I think it was the Sauvignon.) I don’t consider myself an expert so they confused me for a second but after double checking I sent back the glass of wine which costs 500 THB.
Issue#2: They forgot to prepare one of our order. Human mistake. Apology accepted.
Note#3: I know I should learn Thai language, my life would be easier. And also my company’s life would be easier too. My interactions were like that I talk with the waitress and she replies to my Thai companion in Thai. I felt uncomfortable that they were involved. This way of communication was not limited for my complaint. Don’t misunderstand me, I don’t expect every Thai people to be able to speak English. This paragraph is a “note” and and information shared that other foreigners might find it helpful.
And another good thing for closure. All the interactions sounded polite (based on facial expression and tone, they were speaking Thai), I didn’t feel uncomfortable. They have rooms for groups also which can be an appealing option if looking for some privacy.
Overall I cannot not recommend this place. I will probably go back some day.
Negative User: Pizza was moderate. All of spaghetti was under standard and smelly Scallops in Mentaigo Spaghetti. All staffs are not well trained. Never come back again.
One Star
Negative User: Proposing ‘Contemporary Style Pizza’ which require a lot of experience and dough knowledge.
Oven is built not properly and dirty from leftover flour and other previously cooked pizza.
Pitch Black smoke coming out all the time and it’s realizing a burnt and toxic product for your body.
I got a completely raw pizza very heavy and un-edible for 20$++
Unbelievable that the Japanese Chef in charge send the “manager” to tell me that “is like that, it’s the style“!…
Go to study! before introduce new ideas don’t just pretend to know how to do by social media!
Rubbish!
Negative User: Worst store ever. I definitely recommend that you don’t go.
Cold cuts are made in advance, so you can enjoy things that are not fresh at all. The pullata is also crisp and has no tartness at all. The pâté de campagne is also a novel arrangement, one dish that aims to be popular. However, the balance with the price is not taken, and it is not laughable at all.
It seems that wood-grilled meat is recommended, but perhaps because the timing of grilling is off, depending on the meat, it doesn’t taste good at all. I wonder if it’s a strategy to dare to eat cold things.
And the ultimate is service. I told the sommelier what I like, but he didn’t tell me the price of the wine at all, and he didn’t even show me the wine list. Is this sommelier that great? Big mistake. As long as wine lovers can’t afford it.
I asked for gas-filled water, but the bottle was opened without permission and it was poured. I thought the service was good, but I was surprised that 8 bottles of water were credited at the time of checkout. You’ll usually be asked if you want to add water.
It seems that the mission of the clerks here is to get customers to spend money. It is recommended for those who want to waste money, but if you are not, you should not go to this store.
Negative User: Today, call to reserve before coming. 4 people come. Why can’t I see the melon cake? Walk up and ask the staff and tell them if there’s anything special for them. And it’s also a birthday The staff asked if I had reserved and said I had booked because I called ahead of time. The staff was silent and didn’t answer. The customer will look bad if they make a fake complimentary. like this to call customers Don’t try to do it. Because I will get a review like this. Eat and bill almost 4,000 baht.
