Positive User: Nice view over the city of Bangkok. On the very top you even have a 360 Degree overview. Drinks are not really cheap, but it’s worth a visit to have one drink and enjoy the sunset. Also Bangkok at Night is a very impressive scenery and nice to watch.

The team (include Khun Okta from Bali ) and Khun Niranrat ( from Cocoa Xo who thoughtfully arranged a sweet surprised birthday celebrations for my mum) , left an indelible mark on our hearts , still beyond words. 🥰 This gesture of kindness created a sweet memory amidst the dazzling ambiance of Centara Grand Central World. Positive User: Really nice ambience and delicious food. Service is really great and staff are super polite and smiley. Always nice to be back here. Also nice selection of cocktails with local twists and flavours. Only thing is wasn’t a big fan of the heavy almond liquorish flavour of our dessert.

Positive User: We only drink there (every visit) I couldn’t speak about theit food. Service indeed is dropped. There are a lot of foreign staffs that couldn’t speak Thai but also didn’t fully understand us when we spoke English 😕. Our last vist, I felt it was funny that everyone thought we are tourists (we are local that luve abroad) nobody asked if we have been there and tried to recommend the place without asking if it was our first time or not. When we ordered our 1st drink, the waitress was like, that’s it ?? We were like, what do you mean ? We already told the receptionist we are here for drinks. She then said we have a lot of food and she thought we should order snack! She came out a bit pushy and impolite. All in all, even I love the view up there. I dont think I’ll be back for that weird Service.

Neutral User: Food: 2/5 Menu is not diverse enough specifically for people who can’t eat Western food. The juice we order is below average. We tried passion fruit. It was supposed sweet and sour, but we ended up with a taste similar to what you get from a concentrated canned fruit syrup.
The place: cosy and spacious. You can sit outdoors enjoying the view or inside if you don’t like the humidity and prefer a quite set up.
Price: overpriced with limited options.
Final verdict: If you would like to observe Bangkok from a skyscraper, then go. Other than that, skip it if having a meal is a priority for you.

Negative User: I feel so bad writing this review. I can’t recommend this restaurant. The bar upstairs which is a different establishment( YES 100% , the 490 baht cocktail with that amazing view was so worth it!) I ordered the Dolce Vita… It’s s bit sour which I love.
Downstairs… Ok. The 3 piece jazz ensemble was amazing. They finished at 930 pm. I get that you’re paying for the ambiance and the view. But the FOOD. They had no: lobster or chicken. There goes 1/3 is the menu. Now I asked do you have lobster bisque. They said yes. How you are making lobster bisque with no lobster is my fault. They proceed with a wonderful présentation. I literally dip in my spoon. 😵💫 Bitter is an understatement. Idk what went wrong, but it wasn’t even palatable. I don’t know if the popcorn was burnt or what happened but I couldn’t eat it. Mind you it’s a $20USD soup. So the waitress asks do I want the $35 USD soup. That’s where I should’ve said no thanks. And stopped with the soup madness. This one had white asparagus from the special menu and had foie gras. I thought ok, based on ingredients alone, it’ll be tasty. 🥺…
I ate about $13 worth of the soup. The one piece of asparagus was amazing. The cream…? It was so rich I couldn’t call it soup, and the duck liver, I’ll be honest that I don’t know what it’s supposed to taste like but the after taste was so much that I couldn’t even eat half of it. Texture was on point, that’s about it.
Everyone else LOVED their dishes. I cut my friends steak with the butter knife, my other friend got Australian lamb chops ( 3 huge ones.. She was so happy). The pork chop with mashed potatoes was heaping on the plate and she said it was best she ever had…. The crab cakes, they loved and the scallops my friend sent back because she said they weren’t tender. 🤷🏽♀️
So I don’t know what to rank the restaurant. They charged tax and a 10% service charge on top of the already high bill. I felt like I was back in America but not in a good way. Because a manager would’ve did something to compensate for a horrible dish, not swapped it for a an even higher priced item that WASN’T GOOD.
Waitress was patient. Music was great. View was amazing. Steak, lamb and pork chop , yum! But save your baht and get a decent meal elsewhere. Stick to the amazing cocktails upstairs.
Also other reviewers mentioned the wind. Yes. It’s super windy and felt dangerous climbing the GLASS stairs to the bar. They were shaking as we climbed. But that’s what you get on the 55th floor LOL.

Negative User: I had high hopes for this place, but it does not live up to the hype whatsoever. First, they had a live band performing and seated us directly in front of them. I’m talking ridiculously close. I could have extended my arm behind me and touched the singer. It was so uncomfortably loud that no one in my party could hear anyone at our table speak while they were playing.
For what it is, things are way overpriced. You’re obviously paying for the view, fine, but when the 4200+ Baht filet you ordered comes out cold, there’s a problem. The server did notice that I hadn’t taken more than the 1 cold bite of my food and said they could remake it in 3 minutes. We had waited an exceptionally long time for our food already, and I just wanted them to remove it so we could leave, which I explained. He was insistent that it be remade and I gave up on arguing further. We waited another 20 minutes for them to bring a replacement that was now lukewarm.
I asked for our bill, put my credit card down without looking at it. My fault- I just wanted out of there. My senses were absolutely fried after two hours of a band playing directly behind me. I received the slip back to sign and noticed they had charged us for an entire bottle of wine. I do not drink, there were no wine glasses even on our table. They clearly thought they could get away with charging me for something we didn’t get. When I pointed this out to the server, prior to signing the slip, he said “oh there must be a mistake.” Clearly. We had to wait another 15 minutes for them to correct the issue with zero apology for it. There’s so many rooftop bars and restaurants in Bangkok, do yourself a favor and try a different one.
