Ku Bar Positive User Reviews

  • Positive User: Probably the best cocktail bar.. Location, interior, cocktails, music, vibe, staff, everything in this place is just perfect 🫰🏼🫰🏼

  • Positive User: Ku Bar is a very private location. You need to find the right door and go up the stairs. After going upstairs, the environment outside the store at night will feel weird for the first time, but once you enter the store, you will completely feel the difference. The interior environment is very clean and cold, the simple industrial style design and the magnificent white bar counter create an ambitious atmosphere. Ku Bar not only offers amazing cocktail recipes, but also regularly updates to present elements of life in special and complex ways. It’s more of a fine dining experience than just a normal bar. From the selection of glass plates, to the cocktail technique, presentation, and temperature, every detail has been carefully crafted, which makes me very excited. Makes me look forward to visiting again in the future. The unique charm of Ku Bar is definitely worth a visit.

  • Positive User: I’m a local Thai but got this place suggested by my taiwanese friend. Everything’s delicious !especially the first 2 that I forgot the names (the one served like an ice cream with coconut water and the gold color one). Loved it. When I got friends coming over, I’ll definitely bring them.

  • Positive User: Prepare yourself. I have been to my fair share of speakeasies around the world and this one is … different. It’s not just hidden, it’s located on an abandoned floor of an rundown building. Yet the decor is japanese zen mix with industrial. Bartender was dress in almost monk-like shirt. And the spotlight was entirely on the cocktails with no distractions. It’s almost like you are expected to meditate as you drink. Very unique experience. But then when it comes down to it. The drink was ….. almost too subtle. And i like mine with a kick. Still go! It’s a unique experience you will not get anywhere else

  • Positive User: Great zen atmosphere and lovely drinks as some ones comment they are missing a kick very gentle . It is a great speak easy reminds me of Tokyo where you go to a building thinking it’s something else and finding a hidden gem.

  • Positive User: One of Asia’s Top 50 Bar! Interesting concept and interesting drink. I think the location is a bit creepy and the interior design is a bit uncomfortable for me. Nevertheless pretty decent creative drinks. Service was pretty good too.

  • Neutral User: Great place to experience, only two negatives. One, the price is a bit pricey. And two, most concerned, they miscalculated the bill. There were two more cocktails appeared in the bill which we didnt order, which gave this review 3 stars instead of 4 or possibly even 5. Overall, it was a great place to experience but just make sure you check your bill before you pay.

  • Neutral User: Certainly a nice place, pb being that the whole area is “polluted” with ill mannered cheap Charlie tourists…they would never approach such a bar in their respective countries. A pity…Lonely Planet collateral damages I suppose 🙂

  • Neutral User: I understand that the bar is inspired by japanese style service, but to me, in comparison with the average thai service experience, the staff seemed cold and unfriendly as they didn’t talk or smile much. The cocktails weren’t so much to my taste but I’m sure others may find it delicious. Price is quite high in comparison with the quantity you’re getting.

  • Negative User: Ok. First thing its decent quite nice different place compare to others. But it’s really hard to find. We ordered gin and tonic 2x the price was 760 bath so it’s super overpriced. I didn’t expect something like this in such a quite chill bar. Another thing is that it’s really hard to find the place. It’s hidden somewhere between bar and no name street. You have to ask people to get there. There is no sign on the door or anything. But I think the price is the biggest deal. How is it possible it costs so much money. You van have way more better places for such price.

  • Negative User: This spot is a one drink place. The stark ambience and the cool service from the staff does not invite you to linger for a second sip. The interiors are too dark for photos. The entrance is now brightly lit, taking away the Thai horror movie vibe from stumbling onto this place. Also as mentioned by another reviewer, the first two floors are now a club. This place is so Ku even Arctic Monkey plays here.

  • Negative User: Entertaining place but super expensive.

  • Negative User: Bad manners shop owner ironic about customers

  • Negative User: *Good shop atmosphere 8/10 But it’s a bit dark. At the bar behind the counter, the background is simple. *cocktail menu – Taste is fair. -The menu is not creative (not worth the price) *Service -When asking the bartender for a menu, which menu do you recommend? That is, there is no recommended menu. Whatever you like to eat, just read the menu and order. There was no discussion suggesting what the menu would be like. Anyone who likes sweet and fragrant food, I recommend this menu. Anyone who likes something bold, recommend this menu. These words do not apply to Ku Bar. -The shop collects a 10% service charge. -The bartender is responsible for making the machine and serving and collects a 10% service charge. Why? -There are no additional services. I didn’t ask or invite customers to talk about cocktails at all. Even when we ran out of water or snacks, we didn’t ask the customer to be the one to approach them all. Why did they collect a service charge of 10%? -Bartender stood guard but didn’t say anything haha. -After checking the bill, just prepare to wait to collect the glass. There is no “thank you”. Why do you keep a 10% service charge for good service? (In fact, anyone who uses the service and feels that the 10% service charge is not appropriate can request a refund. But we can think about it later. The shop can key out. like a restaurant in a mall) *VAT 7% is understandable because the income is probably high enough to have to collect VAT. (I’ve been to many bars both in Chiang Mai and in Bangkok. If you want customers to come back again and again. It is recommended that employees should be trained to be more qualified. The matter of service should be improved better than this.) 4 glasses, including a service charge of 10%, including Vat7%, price almost 1,700฿. If the service is impressive, it’s probably worth it. But unfortunately there is no service at all. Not worth it.

  • Negative User: First of all, the store itself combines the outstanding points of an excellent bar, a secluded entrance, excellent decoration and excellent music taste. But the service is very bad From the moment I entered the door, I said arrogantly that the entire wine list was recommended, which was embarrassing, and then stopped my friend from taking photos. He did not affect anything. He was just taking photos of the decoration, but was interrupted by a sudden touch. This happened to many places I have been to in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Never encountered it in the bar Secondly, one of the staff members had a black face the whole time and didn’t even give a simple name when serving the wine. Why should we pay a 10% service fee when we didn’t enjoy the service at all? A very bad experience that even broke my understanding of Thailand’s service industry, especially bars. I will not come again and will never recommend it to friends.
